Leslie has worked extensively both in front of and behind the camera and has many film and television credits, including Robots, Curb Your Enthusiasm, VEEP, House, Criminal Minds, The Kid, Waco, and Kihachi Okamoto’s award-winning film, East Meets West. She’s cast independent features, including The Mad Songs Of Fernanda Hussein, winner of the Rosa Luxembourg award, and coaches actors preparing for film and TV roles. Students include Elaine Hendrix (Anger Management), Robert Wisdom (Barry); Rockmond Dunbar (911); Maya Stojan (Castle); Emile Hirsch (Into The Wild), Hank Harris (Pumpkin); Robert Wahlberg (The Departed); Michael Mantenuto (Miracle); Laurene Landon (Sky).
She’s taught at the esteemed Second City Comedy school in Hollywood, The Film Workshops, Rockport, Maine; Screen Actors Guild Conservatory, L.A.; New England Film Academy, Sonoma Academy, University of Massachusetts, Boston; Boston Film & Video Foundation; Kevin Fennessey Casting; the American School in Paris; Stage Santa Fe and Santa Fe School of Performing Arts.
At the suggestion of creators Julia Cameron and Mark Bryan, Leslie introduced The Artist’s Way, a course in unblocking and reconnecting with our innate creativity, to France and Italy, where it continues to support many artists and performers in the creative process.
